The phone rings. The Receptionist answers.

RECEPTIONIST: One sec . . . Good morning. Yes, please hold.

The Receptionist sets down the receiver, picks up a Key-tar and plays into the phone. A light on the phone blinks. The Receptionist transfers the call.

RECEPTIONIST: Hi!

JOB APPLICANT: Hi. I have an interview with . . .

The phone rings. The Receptionist answers.

RECEPTIONIST: One sec . . . Good morning. Yes, please hold.

The Receptionist plays the same song.

RECEPTIONIST (into the phone): Your call is important to us. Please hold and someone will be with you shortly.

The Receptionist transfers the call.

RECEPTIONIST: Sorry. It’s just been crazy today. How can I help you?

JOB APPLICANT: Know any Neil Diamond?

The Receptionist takes the Applicant’s resume.

RECEPTIONIST: You know, I think you’re going to fit in just fine around here.
